Please read these terms so you know what to expect when you book a visit.

1. Booking a visit
Standard in-home euthanasia visits are booked online and confirmed immediately. Appointments start at 11:00 daily, Central, seven days a week. Bookings close 2 hours before a start time. Your appointment is confirmed when you complete the booking — there is no further approval step.
After-hours visits (5:00–9:00 PM), emergency after-hours visits (9:00 PM–12:00 AM), deceased pet pickups, and large-animal or equine visits are arranged by request rather than booked online. Please call or text to request one — we do not take these requests by email; we will agree a time with you and send you a private booking link to confirm it. For a deceased pet pickup, the time shown on that link helps us plan our route and is not a fixed arrival time — we will contact you to confirm timing and again when we are on our way.
Dr. Gibson may contact you to reschedule where circumstances require it, and will discuss alternatives with you if she does.
2. Card on file & payment
To hold your time, a payment card is saved securely on file through our payment processor, Stripe. Your card is not charged to book. Your bank may briefly show a small temporary verification hold, which is reversed automatically and drops off on its own. Your total is calculated as set out in section 3 — the cost estimator on our website performs that calculation — and Dr. Gibson goes over it with you and it is paid at the time of the visit by cash, check, or card. Payments made on-site by cash or check receive a 5% discount; credit and debit card payments include a 2.5% processing fee. Full details — including the $100 no-show / late-cancellation fee — are in our Cancellation & Deposit Policy.
3. Services & pricing
In-home euthanasia for dogs, cats, and small animals is based on your pet's weight: $375 for pets up to 100 lb, $425 for 101–150 lb, and $475 for 151–200 lb. Large-animal and equine euthanasia starts from $600 plus travel, with no farm-call fee, and is arranged by request. Travel is $3 per mile from the practice's base, one way, rounded to the nearest $5. A weekend or holiday visit adds a $100 fee. After-hours visits (5–9 PM) add a $100 fee and emergency after-hours visits (9 PM–12 AM) add a $250 fee; the weekend or holiday fee is charged in addition to either, so an after-hours visit on a weekend or holiday adds $200 and an emergency one adds $350. Whether a date is treated as a holiday is determined by Dr. Gibson. Any aftercare you choose is added. The cost estimator on our website applies these same figures, and Dr. Gibson goes over your total with you at the visit. Gibson In-Home Euthanasia focuses solely on in-home euthanasia and does not offer quality-of-life consultations or transport-only services.
4. The visit
Dr. Gibson provides in-home euthanasia and related end-of-life care with compassion and professional veterinary judgment. She may decline to proceed if, in her professional opinion, doing so would not be appropriate; in such cases she will discuss alternatives with you.
5. Service area
Gibson In-Home Euthanasia is a mobile practice serving the Johnson, Ellis, Dallas, Tarrant, Hill, and Hood County area — within about 45 miles. If your location is outside the service area, we will let you know and, where possible, suggest alternatives.
